Please be advised that as of 6:00pm PDT September 17th, 2008, the blog entitled "3M Chanklas & Friends" will be privatized and will require permission to access.
The reason for such privatization is the recent increase in the enrollment in educational pursuits of those authors which contribute to said blog and wish to keep their thoughts on such subjects as classes, classmates, professors and the like available to a controlled audience.
If you are already an author of the above mentioned blog, do not fear. You will be able to access the blog without interruption. You will continue to access the blog through the same web address and will only be required to enter your blogger username and password in order to read and contribute.
For those of you who are not authors but wish to continue
only reading the blog, please
email me with your name, a picture of yourself and the email that you use for blogger so that you can be added as a reader.
For those of you who are not authors but would like to become authors of the blog, please submit to
my email a 200-word essay outlining what you would bring to the blog with your authorship and ultimately why we should accept you as an additional author of the 3M Chanklas & Friends blog.
Please leave any comments or concerns regarding this privatization within the comments section below.
Thank you.

It is time for a change, for this country and for myself. Thanks for your post Marnie, all I needed was a little reminder of where I’m going. It’s funny how a simple concept can find so much resonance in my life. I like that we are all going through a sorta “change” at the same time. It’s hard when you feel like you are and no one else is.
I really love school right now. I feel like I have finally found my place. This is a big deal, considering I have been "wandering" for the past couple of years. But as a great man once said “all who wander are not lost.” In writing papers and doing research for this class I feel as though I understand a language no one else can. In my other classes I always managed to muttle through, but with Criminal Justice, I just get it. I even catch myself thinking…did I just write that! As most of you-already having figured out your paths in life know-when you’re amerced in your element, it is a whole new ballgame. I can’t wait to get further in my program. I already have my mid term this week and next week is my final. My next class is Policing and then in November I get to take Constitutional Law. I am very excited for that one; I just hope it won’t spark something in me I’m trying to smolder. Just talking about it gives me butterflies in my stomach, the kind that make you have a pop the curb"Target moment". I guess that’s when you know you’ve finally realized your dream. Those butterflies are my cue to keep going, because anything worth having in this life should scare the shit out of you. Not to get all “Oprah”, but there was a Carnegie Mellon professor named Randy Pausch who wrote a book called “The Last Lecture.” In it he says “brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out, but to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Cause the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough.” I think I’ve faced a lot of brick walls lately, and the worse part is that they have been of my own making...but that part of my life is over and it is time to move on.
That said, back to the books.
Or lack of change...

...when it comes to the blog, I guess. ;)
J/K, I know everyone is busy but come on guys! I talk to you all less now so you have more to write. Take a break from studying and contribute!
I'll contribute a little now. I am between classes being totally anti-social. Michelle, do I have a story for you regarding The Mission! :) I'll call you when I'm out of class.
Hope Agent M and morP Cowboy are having fun galavanting around Chicago!
What's that word everyone's talking about?

Why is it that when I have the opportunity to my body decides to sleep as long as possible?
And now I am just realizing that my last two blogs have been about sleep. But anyway, so I have a bunch of studying/reading to do today and tomorrow before I start up another week of school.
School is going well. I am meeting new people and getting more comfortable in class with speaking out. I really am happy to be back in school. It is fun to learn and analyze. And I love being outside during the day. I know that may sound strange but when you are in the office all day everyday it gets a little draining. Especially when you live in such an amazing place as San Diego.
So morP cowboy is off on his own adventure to law school. He and Agent M were in Grand Junction last night and I think they are aiming for Denver today.
Chinese Slut and derF are both back in school as well. Katherine, I'm assuming, is off in gaga land with her new catch. ;) And Beaver and Grant are getting ready to move to LA....
What a time for all of us! So much happening! There seems to be a recurring theme here...can't think of the word...something to do with going from one way of doing things to another...hmm...
Oh yeah, CHANGE.

This is what happens when you take a nap for 4 hours in the early evening...good thing I don't have class until tomorrow night!
Footnote: This does not apply when you are named Marisa, Michelle or Matthew for some reason...
